All S&P 500 Sectors Rise Again on Friday

Every sector of the S&P 500 rose on Friday morning, potentially giving them all two consecutive gains for the first time this year, while the U.S. stock market rose overall.

The last time all 11 S&P 500 sectors posted back-to-back daily gains was in late October, according to Dow Jones Market Data. The S&P 500 was up 0.5% Friday morning, with the health care sector posting the smallest gain of about 0.3%, FactSet data shows, at last check.

In line with other major U.S. stock indexes, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.7% on Friday morning, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite index was up 0.6%.
