The Bahía Blanca-born player made his debut against Mumbai City in the 2024 Durand Cup but had an unfruitful season. He did, however, score one goal in sudden death against Mohun Bagan Super Giants, although the Mohali-based club failed to qualify for the semi-finals.

Punjab FC technical director Nikolaos Topoliatis expressed his excitement, stating: “We are thrilled to have Vidal in our ranks for the upcoming season. He is an exciting player who will add more pace and creativity to our midfield.”

In an interview with HindustanTimes.com, Pulga shared his thoughts on joining Punjab FC, his expectations from the upcoming season and his style of play.

“I am feeling very good and can’t wait to make my ISL debut! I am expecting a good league and to make it to the playoffs with Punjab!!” Pulga exclaimed, talking about joining Punjab FC.

Having played in different countries and leagues, Pulga believes his adaptability will help him succeed in the Indian Super League. “I have played in several leagues and I think India is a very strong league! From my experience, I hope to contribute a lot and help the team win! My biggest challenge is to overcome what I did last season!!”

Vidal wants to score more and more goals for Punjab FC

When asked about his playing style as an attacking midfielder and winger and how he can help Punjab FC in the ISL, he was quick to respond, “I am a player who likes to receive the ball and go forward to attack the opposition!! I like to be present and get on the pitch to score goals!”

“I hope this year I can help the team and score goals!!”

Playing in Indonesia, the Argentine midfielder admitted that playing in Indonesia and India is different. “Thank God I did well in Indonesia! And I hope I adapt to India as soon as possible! I’m happy to be here and it’s a nice challenge! I try to give my best in every match and I hope I do it in the best way!!”

When HT pressed him further, asking: “If you wanted to change teams in the future, what would be your next choice?” The 29-year-old dismissed thoughts of another team for now.

“The only thing I am thinking about now is to help the team with my play and I tell Punjab fans to trust this group which will give its all to take Punjab to the top.”

Punjab FC will begin their ISL 2024-25 journey this Sunday, 15th, with a match against Kerala Blasters at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium.
