JSW Energy launches first greenfield wind farm in Tamil Nadu

JSW Energy Ltd has announced the completion of a 300 MW wind power project through its subsidiary JSW Renew Energy Two Limited. The plant, located in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, marks the company’s first-ever greenfield wind project awarded by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).

The new wind farm project is set to strengthen JSW Energy’s renewable energy portfolio, in line with its commitment to a greener and more sustainable future. An additional 150 MW of wind power is nearing completion in Dharapuram, while 138 MW has already been commissioned.

Once completed, the company’s total installed capacity will be 7,726 MW, with 2,114 MW expected to be under construction by fiscal year 2025. The current installed wind capacity is 2,152 MW. JSW Energy aims to achieve 10 GW of installed capacity by fiscal year 2025 and ultimately 20 GW by 2030.
