4 Best Free Adobe Acrobat Alternatives for Windows

Another versatile PDF app for Windows, Sejda PDF Desktop, includes over 40 editing and file management options. One of its most popular tools is the editor, which lets you simply edit text, its size, font, emphasis (bold and italic), and color. You can also convert existing text into a hyperlink that leads to an external URL, email address, phone number, or other page in the PDF.

Sejda PDF can also be used to fill out forms. It includes options to add a text box, check mark, cross, and radio button. However, if you want to do the opposite and convert your PDF to a form, you can do that in the editor interface as well. There, you can add fields like a text box, dropdown list, checkbox, and radio button.

Finally, the editor tool lets you add annotations as needed. These include highlights, strikethroughs, underlines, drawing, and customizable shapes. In addition to the editor, Sejda PDF includes useful advanced tools such as PDF deskew, which automatically straightens skewed scanned pages. You can also scale pages to grayscale, remove annotations, and repair corrupted PDFs.

Sejda PDF may be free and quite secure – the app is offline and doesn’t upload files to servers – but you will encounter limitations when using the free version. For example, you can only work with documents up to 200 pages or 50 MB in size. You can also only perform three tasks per day (one task = one saved file) and you don’t have access to batch file conversions. For unlimited use, you need to purchase the Pro version.
