Naomi Watts Brings Back Old Hollywood Glamour in Emerald Gown at 2024 Emmys

Naomi Watts brings back the elegance of old Hollywood with the timeless dress she wore to the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards.

Arriving at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles tonight, the actor looked stunning in a strapless emerald green evening gown. The elegant piece — custom made by Balenciaga — featured a bow embellished at the back, with the ends trailing down to create a long train.

When it came to accessories, she opted for minimal jewelry, opting for diamond-studded drop earrings and diamond rings.

Tonight, Watts is among the nominees for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her role as Babe Paley on the FX series Conflict: Capote vs. Swans.

In addition to starring in the series, Watts also served as an executive producer on the series. In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar.

“I think as I’ve grown and had a lot of experience now, I could imagine doing something like that would be easier,” Watts said. “But at the time, it seemed too risky. I’ve had great successes, great failures, some in-betweens. I’ve had all the experiences I could, so I’m more open to new things. Risk is great. Failure is inevitable. Success is almost never inevitable. I know how to ride the waves better—I don’t feel good about it all the time, but I know they come and go.”

She added: “I feel like we are who we are, and my story is woven into almost every story I tell. I would say that the stories I’ve struggled with are usually resolved in some way through my work.”
