Kareena’s ‘Buckingham Murders’ enjoys huge response, collects ₹5cr in 3 days

Kareena Kapoor Khan’s latest film, The Buckingham Murderssaw steady growth in box office revenue in its first weekend.

The film opened with a modest collection of ₹ 1.15 crore on Friday, but picked up steam on Saturday and Sunday, earning ₹ 1.95 crore and ₹ 2.2 crore respectively.

At the end of the weekend, the total domestic collection stood at ₹5.3 crore.

‘Buckingham Murders’ Impresses Despite Limited Distribution

Even though the box office results may seem low, The Buckingham MurdersThe film’s grosses are impressive considering its limited release in India.

The film is currently showing on only 1,334 screens nationwide.

On Sunday, attendance at Hindi-language screenings was 18.8%, with the highest attendance, exceeding 28%, recorded during evening screenings.

The premiere of the film “Buckingham Murders” took place at the 67th London Film Festival BFI

The Buckingham Murders had its world premiere at the 67th BFI London Film Festival on 14 October 2023.

The film tells the story of a British-Indian detective (played by Kapoor Khan) who must cope with personal loss while investigating the murder of a child in Buckinghamshire.

The project also marks Kapoor Khan’s debut as a producer alongside Ekta Kapoor.
