Myntra’s GenZ customer base doubled to 16 million in 2024, driven by the FWD app. The company aims to onboard another 20-25 million GenZ customers in the next few years.

New Delhi, Sep 17 (PTI) Lifestyle e-commerce platform Myntra on Tuesday said it has doubled its Gen Z customer base from over 8 million in mid-2023 to 16 million in 2024.

The biggest contributor to growth was Myntra’s fashion app FWD GenZ, an app-within-an-app offering.

“With the trend-driven online fashion market expected to grow over 8x to reach $5 billion by 2028, FWD by Myntra… is taking the lead in transforming fashion for young Indians, reflecting Myntra’s commitment to staying ahead of the rapidly changing trends and preferences of Gen Z,” the company said in a statement.

Flipkart-owned Myntra expects to add another 20-25 million customers from Generation Z, born in the late 1990s and early 2000s, over the next few years.

“We plan to double our customer growth and go deeper into the market by leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance every touchpoint, from selection to discovery to delivery,” said Myntra’s Chief Marketing Officer, Sunder Balasubramanian.
