Trump’s immigration plan just reached a terrifying new extreme

“We expect to disagree with Kamala Harris on many domestic and foreign policy issues,” the letter reads, “but we believe she has the qualities to serve as president in a way Donald Trump does not. That is why we support her election as president.” The letter includes a bullet-pointed list of reasons they support Harris, including some of her more hawkish foreign policy positions.

The letter called Trump “unfit to serve” and noted his “dangerous traits,” including his familiarity with “authoritarian leaders,” his “contempt” for ethical and legal norms, and his “chaotic national security decision-making.” As commander in chief, it said, Trump “promoted daily chaos in government, praised our enemies and undermined our allies, politicized the military and defamed our veterans, placed his personal interests above American interests, and betrayed our values, democracy, and the founding documents of this country.” The letter also condemned Trump’s incitement of the attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

In the penultimate paragraph of the letter, the authors acknowledge that GOP voters have “potential concerns” about Harris but say they “pale in comparison” to Trump’s record of “erratic and unethical behavior and disregard for the proven constitutional principles of our Republic.”
