Motorcyclist dies in crash on Macleod Trail

One person died in a two-vehicle collision on Macleod Trail.

The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday when a southbound motorcycle collided with a sedan on Macleod Trail at 99 Avenue SE.

The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

Another adult was taken to Rockyview Hospital in stable, non-life-threatening condition.

Police closed the road in both directions between Southland Drive and Willow Park Drive SE.

The circumstances of the crash are currently being investigated.
