Insurance software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions provider Zywave has hired Martin Simoncic (pictured left) and Christian G. Kasper (pictured right) as CEO and executive vice president and chief financial officer, respectively.

Combined, the executives bring over 30 years of SaaS industry experience to Zywave. The company is backed by Clearlake Capital Group and Aurora Capital Partners.

Clearlake Partner and Managing Director Prashant Mehrotra and Vice President Erik Hansen noted in a joint statement: “We are fortunate to have experienced software executives like Martin and Chris join Zywave as CEO and CFO, respectively. We look forward to working with the broader management team to accelerate organic business growth and continue to drive Zywave’s buy-and-build initiatives in the insurance technology space.”

They highlighted how the new leadership, combined with Clearlake’s operational improvement methodology, will further support Zywave’s strategic direction.

Josh Klinefelter, a partner at Aurora, agrees, citing the duo’s credentials: “Martin and Chris both have a track record of leading innovative SaaS companies, so we believe they are naturals to help Zywave achieve its potential. We look forward to supporting Martin, Chris, the rest of the management team, and the many talented employees of Zywave as it continues its next phase of growth.”

Simoncic previously held executive positions at PROS Holdings, where he served as president of the B2B division, as well as positions such as chief customer officer and vice president of product management. He also spent time at Vertafore.

Reflecting on his new role, the CEO noted, “This is an exciting time for Zywave, and I am honored to join the company and lead the next chapter of its story while advancing Zywave’s history as an industry leader.”

Kasper, who has taken on the CFO role, also has extensive experience in financial leadership, particularly in cloud software companies. His most recent role was CFO at EnterpriseDB Corporation. He also previously served as CFO at Reflexis Systems.
