Auténtica The most important food fair in southern Spain

Auténtica, the Spanish trade fair for the food retail and distribution industry, has just come to an end, hosted by Seville, where the profit was 12 million euros.

More than 8,000 senior executives from distribution and retail companies, delicatessens and hospitality startups gathered at the FIBES Conference and Exhibition Centre in Seville. Over two days, 251 companies presented the latest developments in the agri-food sector.

The event included the Auténtica Congress, a gathering of 233 experts with different forums for specific branches of food retail and distribution. One such forum was the Culinary Fest Gusto del Sur, where renowned Spanish chefs Paco Morales, Benito Gomez, Hideki Matsuhisa and others explored the concepts behind their restaurant menus.

New products on display include citrus caviar, olive ice cream, meat and pea protein sandwiches, and hot ice cream.

The trade show focuses on a Mediterranean-style diet that focuses on local, natural, high-quality products. Product categories include oils, dairy, baked goods, seafood, vegetables, meats, pasta and kitchenware.
