The fifth iteration of the GT Watch series is available in two editions: GT 5 (41mm/46mm) and GT 5 Pro (42mm/46mm), with the Pro featuring a titanium alloy in its construction. There are also 12 different color versions available, as well as:

1. More accurate and detailed health and fitness monitoring

The Watch GT 5 series introduces Huawei’s new TruSense system, which uses cutting-edge technology to improve the device’s capabilities as a health tracker. On paper, this means improved heart rate accuracy during running to within ±5 beats per minute of the gold standard, as well as more accurate blood oxygen monitoring during sleep or at high altitudes. Both of these contribute to a new and improved health summary in the Huawei app, which includes sleep cycle trends and physical activity levels.

With the GT 5 Pro you can also perform an electrocardiogram (ECG) anytime, anywhere.

    2. Improved GPS accuracy

New to the GT 5 is Huawei’s Sunflower GPS, which improves positioning accuracy using an adaptive algorithm to provide highly accurate tracking while running. Compared to the GT 4, Huawei says route accuracy has improved by 40%, distance accuracy by 30%, and pace accuracy by 20%.

      3. A bigger and longer battery life

The battery now lasts up to 7 days on the GT 5 Pro 42mm and GT 5 41mm models, while the GT 5 Pro 46mm and GT 5 46mm models get up to 14 days.

Additionally, the GT 5 Pro 46mm takes 60 minutes to charge, and just 5 minutes of charging is enough for a full day of use.

        4. A bbuilt-in running trainer

Huawei’s new Running Form Analysis feature provides greater support for runners of all levels. The watch detects ground contact time, vertical oscillation, and balance using an IMU sensor to analyze form, run more efficiently, and prevent injuries.

          5. Advanced trail mapping for trail runners

With Outdoor Sports Mode, you can now access full-color mapped routes. This feature supports segmented navigation, off-track alerts, contour lines, and crown-controlled zoomable maps. Trail runners can also get real-time fitness data and trail information sent directly to their wrist.

            6. Period Tracking

The new advanced Menstrual Cycle Management feature on GT 5 offers a more comprehensive women’s health care system. View current, previous and upcoming cycle information and record symptoms such as bleeding intensity or menstrual pain directly from your wrist, in addition to seamless syncing with the Huawei app.

              Huawei

Buy Huawei Watch D2 from £349.99

From 19 September to 22 October, when you purchase a Huawei Watch D2, you will receive a free pair of Huawei FreeBuds 5i and a £40 voucher for a Huawei Band 9.

The health-focused smartwatch has a crisp 1.82-inch color screen, available in black or gold. Plus:

              1. Clinical Grade Blood Pressure Readings

Nearly 1 in 3 adults in the UK suffer from high blood pressure, which can lead to serious health problems including heart disease, stroke and even kidney failure. The Watch D2 features a professional wrist blood pressure monitor that uses a mini pump and pressure sensors to provide accurate, clinical-grade blood pressure readings. This monitoring allows you to track blood pressure trends, helping to detect early signs of high blood pressure or fluctuations that may require medical attention.

Slim and discreet, it offers greater convenience and comfort than traditional blood pressure monitors, and records data over a full 24-hour sleep-wake cycle.

                2. ECG on demand

The ECG feature on the Huawei Watch D2 allows users to monitor the electrical activity of their heart. This is crucial for detecting irregularities such as atrial fibrillation, a common heart rhythm disorder that increases the risk of stroke and heart failure. These recordings can be stored and shared with healthcare professionals for further analysis and review.

                3. Sleep patterns

Like the Watch GT 5, the D2 is equipped with Huawei’s new TruSense system, which provides a more detailed picture of your overall health. Monitor your heart rate, blood oxygen levels, respiratory rate, and any abnormal breathing patterns while you nap, and get feedback when you wake up to show how well you slept.

                4. Stress level

The Watch D2 tracks stress levels through heart rate variability, offering insight into stress patterns. High stress levels can also contribute to high blood pressure and other cardiovascular issues, so managing stress is an important aspect of overall health.

                5. Daily health management

The Watch D2 not only tracks your sleep and stress, but also provides useful information to motivate you to lead a healthier lifestyle, whether it’s making better food choices or increasing your physical activity.

Speaking of which, the Watch D2 lets you choose from over 80 different exercise modes, including running, walking, and cycling, as well as automatic detection of six popular activities. It also has built-in GPS so you can log and track your workouts.
