Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office Supports School Backpack Drive

Bridgeton, NJ – The Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office has been actively participating in several Back to School events, emphasizing its commitment to community engagement and public safety. Employees Angie and Nicole represented the office at Cherry Street School in Bridgeton, while Brenda attended the event at Bacon Elementary in Millville.

The office is on a mission to participate in over 50 Back to School events in Cumberland County. The goal is to connect with parents and inform them about available public safety resources. The office is also open to speaking at schools, clubs, churches and other organizations.

The presentations cover a variety of topics designed to keep children safe while promoting their health and well-being. Through these engagements, the Prosecutor’s Office aims to create a safer and stronger community for youth.

NEWARK, Del. — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating two men wanted in connection with a shoplifting incident that occurred in July at the All In One Smoke Shop on East Main Street. The theft, which occurred on the evening of July 11, 2024, involved three people distracting the clerk while stealing more than $2,000 worth of merchandise.

Authorities said surveillance footage helped identify two suspects: Stephan Lloyd, 28, and Savion Whyte-Douglas, 22. Arrest warrants have been issued for both men, charging them with theft – organized retail crime and related offenses. Their whereabouts remain unknown.

A third suspect, 26-year-old Dahmir Lewis, was arrested on September 19, 2024. Lewis, who is already incarcerated in Delaware on unrelated charges, appeared before a U.S. Magistrate Judge 2 via video and was held on $4,000 bail.
