Oklahoma School Security Institute urges use of app to report school threats

OKLAHOMA CITY (KSWO) – Due to the numerous threats and threatening posts circulating against Oklahoma schools, the Oklahoma School Security Institute is asking all schools, students, parents and law enforcement agencies to report threats through the ProtectOK app.

The organization works with the Oklahoma Counterterrorism Intelligence Center to investigate all threats.

They argue that community members have a responsibility to report threats to authorities and not share them further, and that there is a zero-tolerance policy regarding threats at school.

In addition to the app, you can also report tips at (405) 425-7299, or in the event of an immediate threat, call 911.
