Rajasthan Chief Minister Col Rajyavardhan Rathore leads investors’ tour in Qatar.

Rajasthan Minister for Industries and Commerce, Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore, today led an investors’ tour in Doha, Qatar, as part of the international outreach of the upcoming Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024. The delegation’s visit to Qatar was marked by significant meetings with key officials and business leaders.

Colonel Rathore met with Mohammed bin Hassan Al Malek, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of Qatar, inviting the Government of Qatar to the upcoming summit. The delegation also had productive discussions with officials from CDC, a major player in the real estate and hospitality industry, and Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During these meetings, the Rajasthan delegation rolled out the red carpet for Qatari companies, inviting them to invest in a wide range of sectors. These included real estate, infrastructure, chemicals and petrochemicals, renewable energy, education and skills, automotive and electric vehicles, tourism, startups, mining, and ESDM/IT and ITeS.

Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore highlighted the growing status of Rajasthan as a business-friendly destination, stating, “Rajasthan, with its vast natural resources and prime location, is

is emerging as a business-friendly place. There are sweeping changes underway across the full spectrum of policies, rules and guidelines that govern business, and bold changes are being made to make it easier to do business.”

He also highlighted the government’s focus on reducing the cost of doing business to make Rajasthan more cost-competitive. The visit to Qatar is part of a broader global effort by the Rajasthan government. It comes after a three-day visit to the United Arab Emirates, also led by Col Rathore. Before these Middle East meetings, Prime Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma led delegations to South Korea and Japan, which generated considerable interest from many companies and associations to do business with Rajasthan.

The Global Investment Summit 2024 ‘Rising Rajasthan’ is scheduled to be held from 9th to 11th December 2024 in Jaipur. The three-day mega event aims to attract global investments, innovations and partnerships to the state. The summit will feature plenary sessions on various sectors including agriculture, renewable energy, education and skills, automotive and electric vehicles, infrastructure, chemicals and petrochemicals, tourism, startups, mining, and ESDM/IT and ITeS.
