Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav showcases state’s investment potential in Kolkata

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav attended the ‘Interactive Session on Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh’ in Kolkata, engaging in in-depth discussions on industrial expansion with industrialists, investors and representatives of business organisations. After the session, CM Yadav told ANI that the state offers significant potential in sectors like heavy industry, MSME, cottage industry, food processing industry, tourism and mining.

Yadav said, “Madhya Pradesh has a lot of potential for industries across all sectors, be it heavy industry, MSME, cottage industry, food industry, tourism or mining. The interest from investors here in Kolkata is encouraging and I am happy with the success of our visit.” Referring to initiatives for innovation and sustainability, the Chief Minister said the state is open to investments and keen to adjust policies to attract more industries.

The CM said, “We welcome everyone. The state government has come up with various policies and any investor who wants to invest beyond these policies will see the changes brought by the cabinet. Our aim is to support industrial growth in MP.” Yadav highlighted the state’s infrastructure readiness, highlighting the availability of electricity, water, roads and land at competitive prices and conveyed that the government is giving confidence to investors in their investments and business operations.

Yadav further mentioned that “our connectivity, be it by road, air or rail, is robust and our central location in India is conducive to distribution of manufacturing across the country and the world.” He noted that Madhya Pradesh has not experienced any significant labour issues in the past decades, providing a peaceful environment for industrial operations. The session ended with Yadav reiterating the state’s commitment to industrial development and the positive response from investors in West Bengal, confirming their confidence in the potential of Madhya Pradesh.
