iOS 18.1 public beta now available with some Apple Intelligence features

Apple’s iOS 18.1 update, which includes a number of upcoming Apple Intelligence features, has moved into public beta, meaning anyone can try it out (provided they’re willing to install the beta software).

iOS 18.1 was released to developers in July, but it’s more accessible to the public thanks to a new public beta. As a result, Apple Intelligence features are now more accessible, although you’ll still need an iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 16 to use them. Additionally, the features are still tied to English in the US version, so you’ll need to make sure your phone is set to use it.

For Android PoweriOS 18.1 beta includes Writing Tools, Clean Up in Photos, Reduce Interruptions Focus mode, notification summaries, and likely other Apple Intelligence features. However, Siri ChatGPT, Image Playground, and Genmoji integration are expected to arrive later as part of iOS 18.2.

Those interested in trying out the beta software can follow the steps on Apple’s website to install iOS 18.1 on their phone.
