Ohio State Marshall Picks and Predictions

Forecast

Ohio State 48, Marshall 10

Money line

There was no salary information available at the time of publication, but even if this information is released before the match starts, it’s not worth getting hung up on.

Against the spread

Back MARSHAL +40 (-110), as both teams have had a full two weeks off. The Thundering Herd won’t make this a close game, but they should be able to at least score the most points of any team Ohio State -40 (-110) has faced this season.

The Buckeyes defense has limited their previous two opponents, both in the MAC, to just 6 points. However, Marshall showed some offensive ability in the trip to Virginia Tech, especially in the running game, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Thundering Herd reach double figures.

Over/under

OVER 52.5 (-110) is worth noting because Marshall has the ability to reach at least double-digits on the scoreboard. The Thundering Herd ran for 147 yards at Virginia Tech. And while Ohio State has a much better offense and defense than the Hokies, Marshall is a much better team than Akron and Western Michigan.

The Buckeyes will score their fair share of points, and if the Thundering Herd struggles like their previous two opponents Ohio State, the Buckeyes could potentially handle the Over without any help from the Herd. It was surprising to see that number so low. Take advantage of it.
