Emirates has opened a new lounge at London Stansted Airport. The airline has invested over £4 million to design the spacious 900m2 lounge, which can accommodate up to 125 guests, including First and Business Class customers, as well as Emirates Skywards members.

The new lounge is Emirates’ sixth dedicated lounge in the UK, complementing the airline’s existing facilities at London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Birmingham, Glasgow and Manchester. All London airports served by Emirates now offer access to the highest level of ground services, allowing customers to relax and enjoy a refined culinary experience before their flight.

“Emirates has been serving London Stansted since 2018, and the airport remains a key gateway for our customers in the southern region of the UK,” said Mohammed Mattar, Senior Vice President, Airport Services, Emirates. “The new lounge is testament to our brand promise to always offer customers a better flight experience – in the air and on the ground. It also marks a significant milestone for us as we are now proud to offer dedicated lounges at six airports across the UK – underlining our continued commitment to one of the most important markets in our network. We look forward to taking the premium travel experience to new heights and offering customers the opportunity to relax and dine in the renowned Emirates hospitality.”

Located in Satellite 1, next to the departure gates, customers can expect a spacious lounge with new furniture and dedicated seating areas to eat and relax before their flight. Customers will also be able to enjoy an exceptional selection of food and beverages, free WiFi and refreshing showers and amenities.

“The opening of Emirates’ new world-class lounge is fantastic news for London Stansted and Emirates’ passengers flying to Dubai and beyond, and further demonstrates the airline’s commitment to the airport and the wider region,” said Gareth Powell, Managing Director of Stansted Airport. “Offering first and business class passengers, the location in Satellite 1 offers excellent views of the airport and direct boarding from the lounge. The 14 weekly flights between London Stansted and Dubai have proven extremely popular with travellers since day one, not only to the Middle East but across the globe thanks to the airline’s vast global network.”

Emirates has partnered with Sussex-based Full Circles Farms to introduce a farm-to-table food concept to its lounge, offering customers a seasonal menu featuring fresh, organic vegetables and locally sourced produce. Customers can also enjoy premium spirits and liqueurs, a selection of wines and a wide range of Moet & Chandon champagnes.
