Prime Minister Narendra Modi met his Armenian counterpart Nikol Pashinyan on the sidelines of the UN Future Summit, describing the meeting as “wonderful”.

Modi is in New York on the final leg of his three-day visit to the US, where he delivered a speech at the groundbreaking UN Future Summit, held amid global conflicts.

On Monday, on the sidelines of the summit, he met with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“It was great to meet with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the sidelines of the Future Summit at @UN earlier this morning,” Modi said in a post on X.

Modi also met here with Secretary of State of the Holy See, Cardinal Pietro Parolin.

“I had an interesting conversation with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of the Holy See in New York,” the prime minister said in a separate post on the X portal.

Earlier, he held a bilateral meeting with Vietnamese President To Lam. The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen India-Vietnam ties and add momentum in sectors such as connectivity, trade and culture.

He arrived in New York on Saturday after attending the Quad Leaders summit in Wilmington, Delaware, where he also held bilateral talks with U.S. President Joe Biden.

Modi addressed thousands of members of the Indian-American community on Sunday at the mega community event Modi&US in Long Island. He also interacted with top US technology leaders and CEOs at a roundtable. He held bilateral discussions with world leaders later in the day.
