Ahmed bin Mohammed issues decision to appoint Dr. Maitha Buhumaid as General Manager Marketing and Communications at Dubai Media – UAE

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, has announced the appointment of Dr Maitha bint Essa Buhumaid as Director General of Marketing and Communications at Dubai Media.

This appointment is in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to enable talented people from the UAE to take up leadership positions in key sectors.

Her Excellency Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairwoman and Managing Director of Dubai Media Council, wished Dr Maitha Buhumaid success in her new role. She said the appointment reflects the leadership’s confidence in the ability of Emiratis in leadership positions to drive growth across sectors.

“The Dubai Media Council will continue to work closely with Dubai Media to further strengthen Dubai’s position as a leading regional and global media hub,” added Her Excellency.

His Excellency Mohamed AlMulla, CEO of Dubai Media, said the appointment of Dr Maitha Buhumaid, backed by her over 20 years of experience in media and government communications, will be a key factor contributing to the organisation’s success.

He also expressed confidence in her abilities and wished her success in her new position.
