Alan B. Levan | NSU Broward Center Of Innovation and eMerge Americas Host Successful 3rd Annual South Florida Innovation Day

This Alan B. Levan | NSU Broward Innovation Center (Levan Innovation Center) AND eMerge Americas joined forces to host the 3rd annual South Florida Innovation Day on Wednesday, September 18, attracting over 400 attendees from across the region. The event brought together industry leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs to explore the latest trends, promoting collaborative manufacturing through entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, emerging technologies and healthcare.

The event began with a captivating performance by two LED drummers who set an inspiring tone of innovation and creativity. The electrifying performance energized the audience, creating an atmosphere of excitement that lasted throughout the day.

Keynote speaker Safe IshoofFounder and CEO of Lab22c, gave a powerful speech on the future of technology and innovation. Other notable speakers and panelists included Christofer’s BurgerConsul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Miami; Sylvia CesaratoConsul General of Canada in Miami; Andrew R. Cagnetta Jr.CEO of Transworld Business Advisors; Mark GlickmanPresident and CEO of BioFlorida; Sean WallingSenior Manager, Advanced Operations, Stryker; and Anne P. Mohns, Ph.D.Director of Operations Engineering and Technology, OI Manufacturing Technology Development, Medtronic.

The day was filled with dynamic workshops, engaging panel discussions, and high-energy presentation sessions showcasing the future of South Florida’s growing innovation ecosystem. Participants also learned about tracks focused on New technologies, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, healthcareAND Productionsupporting collaboration and networking in South Florida’s emerging technology and manufacturing hubs.

In addition to panels and presentations, participants had the opportunity to take part in Business Fairwhere local startups and enterprises showcased their innovative products and services, fostering collaboration and networking throughout the day.

The most important moment of the day was startup presentation competitionwhere five innovative companies presented their groundbreaking ideas:

• Enchanted Wave
• Campus Run
• Catch the captain
• Yuvi

The two winners of the competition were:

• Cheng QianFounder Enchanted Wavea company specializing in brainwave technology. Enchanted Wave participated in the Levan Center of Innovation Speed ​​up the program earlier this year.
• Liliana Demerdjieva AND Jack SardineCo-founders Campus Runan application to streamline campus logistics that was completed by the Levan Center of Innovation Incubation Program at the end of 2023

Both companies received $1,000 and accelerated entry into the program. eMerge Global Startup Accelerator + Showthat connects promising startups with mentors, investors and enterprises.
