PREVIOUS MEETING

Our last trip to St James’ Park was a thrilling spectacle, with Oscar Bobb’s last-minute winner securing a 3-2 victory for Pep Guardiola’s men.

Bernardo opened the scoring for City in the 26th minute with a delicious backheel, and the Magpies took the lead at the break against the run of play through a quickfire double from Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon.

However, Guardiola’s side responded with a powerful right-foot strike in the 74th minute – just five minutes after coming on – to level the score.

The iconic and inspiring midfielder was brought on for Bobb in stoppage time, with the academy graduate showing experience beyond his years to expertly finish the move.
