World Pumps – Kirloskar Brothers unveils 13.5 MWp solar project

The 13.5 MWp solar project will generate around 20 million units of clean energy per year, significantly increasing the renewable energy usage at Kirloskarvadi power plant from 25% to 75%.

KBL’s subsidiary, The Kolhapur Steel Limited (TKSL), will also increase its use of renewable energy to 75%.

Through its partnership with Sunsure Energy, KBL will significantly reduce its carbon footprint by offsetting 14,200 metric tons of CO2e emissions per year. This is in line with the company’s commitment to protecting the environment and contributing to India’s renewable energy-based economy.
