How to cancel Max (formerly HBO Max)

Sure, Max may be one of the best streaming services with some excellent movies and series for just $10 a month, but a Max subscription can cost you money, especially if you don’t use it.

How to cancel Max (iOS and Android devices)

If you signed up for Max using an iPhone, iPad, or similar Android device, you’ll be happy to know that you can cancel your subscription to these gadgets. Here is the process:

Step 1: Launch the Max app and select yours profile icon. Then select Settings.

Step 2: Now choose Subscription > Manage your subscription > Cancel subscription.

Step 3: To finish, select Continue Canceland then Yes, unsubscribe.

How to cancel Max (PC)

If you signed up for Max using a laptop or desktop computer (or mobile device), you’ll be able to cancel your subscription directly on max.com. Here’s how:

Step 1: Select your profile icon in the upper right corner of the home page, then select Subscription.

Step 2: To choose Cancel subscription > Continue Cancel.

Step 3: If you are 100% sure that it’s time to say goodbye, go ahead and choose it Yes, unsubscribe.

How to cancel your Max subscription through your internet, cable or phone carrier

If you signed up for Max through a cable/satellite provider, smart TV or streaming device (e.g. Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV Stick, etc.), you will need to use that third party to cancel your Max subscription Too.

We actually signed up for Max through a Roku account, so this gave us the perfect opportunity to show you how to cancel on Roku terms:

Step 1: First, Roku requires you to log into your Roku account via a web browser (not the Roku app).

Step 2: Once logged in, hover over your profile icon and select My account.

Step 3: Under Payments and subscriptionschoose My subscriptions.

Step 4: To choose Manage your subscription and select cancel.

If you’ve already canceled your Max subscription and want to renew, a notice should appear Subscribe again a button you can click.

How do I sign up for Max again?

Resubscribing to Max is as easy as canceling your subscription. If you’re using the Max app on an iPhone, iPad, or Android device, open the app and sign in to your account. Then select Renew your subscriptionselect your plan and billing period, then follow the instructions to complete your registration in the app store on your device. When you’re done, tap Start streaming.

To re-subscribe on Max’s website, go to max.com and log in to your account. to chooseStart streaming if the option appears then Register now. Once you’ve selected your plan and billing period, finish by adding your payment method and making your selection Start your subscription.
