EA Games confirmed it The Simpsons: Taped outthe popular mobile game based on the iconic animated series will be shutting down on December 5, 2024. The game, which was released in 2012, has been a staple game for millions of gamers around the world, allowing them to build their own Springfield and interact with their favorite characters. However, after over a decade of operation, the creators made the difficult decision to discontinue production.

To our beloved fans,
We made the difficult decision at sunset Tapped Out. In-app purchases have been disabled and the game will be removed from app stores on October 31, 2024. You can continue playing until January 24, 2025, at which time the servers will be disabled and TSTO will be unavailable.
The decision to end our twelve-year journey is an emotional decision. Together with our partners at The Simpsons™ and The Walt Disney Company, we were thrilled to bring this game to you, the fans, and see how each of you created your own beloved versions of Springfield. It’s been an incredible journey, and we’re grateful that we’ve been able to deliver 308 updates, 831 characters, and, including today’s farewell, 1,463 questlines.
As our journey comes to an end, we would like to extend our sincerest thanks to you, the players who made it all possible.
