How to celebrate Orange Shirt Day in Calgary and southern Alberta

Monday, September 30 is National Day of Truth and Reconciliation in Canada.

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, first established in 2013 as Observance Day, also known as “Orange Shirt Day,” is a day of remembrance to remember the victims and the continuing impact of Canada’s residential school system.

Communities in southern Alberta will celebrate the day throughout the weekend of September 28-29 and Orange Shirt Day on September 30.
