Spotify not working – The Verge

Spotify appears to be down at the moment, and social media users have started reporting that the app and website have been down for the past hour. This doesn’t work for those of us in Edge who also tried.

Downdetector shows a spike in reports of problems with the music streaming service starting around 10:40 a.m. EST. However, Spotify does not appear to have publicly acknowledged any issues despite posting general responses from the SpotifyCares account on X, and we haven’t seen any other details about what might be causing the outage.

The outage appears to be affecting both the app and the website – although the app isn’t playing music, the website is having trouble loading. When I tried to visit, I received a server error. We’ve reached out to Spotify for more information.
