Three airlines in Saudi Arabia have been fined for violating health screening regulations upon arrival at the Saudi Arabian International Airport, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday. Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz in Medina.

The penalties were issued in accordance with the implementing provisions of the Act on Health Surveillance at Entry Points.


According to the country’s health ministry, the airline failed to implement disease vector control measures and did not spray infected areas of its aircraft with insecticides according to specified standards.

SPA further said that disciplinary action has been taken against these companies to ensure that such violations endangering public health are not repeated.



The measures taken are part of the Ministry of Health’s ongoing surveillance efforts to strengthen health surveillance at airports and border crossings and protect public health through rigorous enforcement to ensure the health and safety of citizens, residents and visitors to the Kingdom, SPA reported.
