‘The Writing was on the Wall’: 9-1-1: EP Lone Star Gets Honest About Fox Series Cancellation

The fifth and final season of the series 9-1-1: Lone Star started on Fox in TV schedule for 2024 after a one-year time jump star’s departureand on the route there was a serious crisis related to a train derailment. Unlike when 9-1-1 it was canceled and that’s it immediately picked up by ABC switch networks, it seems that such a rescue is out of the question for a spinoff set in Texas. I spoke with CinemaBlend Lone Star co-showrunner and executive producer Rashad Raisani about the upcoming ending and candidly admitted that he received news of the cancellation.

While season 5 will have some time to pack up adversity for Tarlosonly twelve episodes in total were produced 9-1-1: Lone Starswan song season. After admitting that Grace Judd’s Leaving Story Was ‘Hard to Buy’ Raisani said this when I asked where the team was in the season when he received the news that the end was near:

Honestly, we didn’t. I should say it wasn’t official until I saw the trailer on Fox a few weeks ago. It said, “last season.” That’s when it became official for me. It was after we wrapped up. This is the official website of the case. As for the writing on the wall, the writing was on the wall even before the strikes because as we finished Season 4, we knew we were entering the final season of the deal between Disney and Fox.
