Who plays Monday Night Football? Games, Week 4 start times

play

In the third week of the first double-header of the “Monday Night Football” season, NFL guests could admire the great offensive performances of the Buffalo Bills, Washington Commanders and Cincinnati Bengals.

Both the league and its “MNF” broadcast partner, ESPN, will be hoping to see a repeat of this action in Week 4.

ABC and ESPN will once again show two NFL games on Monday night. Much of each contest will overlap, so fans will have to choose whether they want to watch one match or use multiple screens to see all four teams in action.

The fights should be interesting. The Miami Dolphins and Tennessee Titans will face each other to determine if either can climb the AFC standings, while the Seattle Seahawks and Detroit Lions will battle to see which team has the inside track to the top of the NFC.

Here’s everything you need to know about the two “Monday Night Football” matchups in Week 4.

Who’s playing Monday Night Football tonight?

There will be two games on Monday Night Football in Week 4. They are as follows:

Miami Dolphins vs. Tennessee Titans

  • Location: Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, Florida.

The Dolphins (1-2) will host the Titans (0-3) to kick off the ESPN “Monday Night Football” doubleheader. Both teams struggled to start the season, as Tennessee lost each of its first three games and Miami led for zero minutes of real time despite one win, a walk-off win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will be missing for this game, and the team struggled to move the ball against the Seahawks without him. The Dolphins will need a better effort from Skylar Thompson, Tim Boyle, or Tyler Huntley to avoid losing a third straight game, but that may be difficult to achieve considering the Titans are allowing just 139.3 yards per game (third-fewest in the NFL).

Meanwhile, the Titans are hoping that Will Levis can avoid a crushing loss for the first time in the 2024 NFL season. He had a pick-six against both the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers and also lost a foul against the New York Jets, which cost the Titans a field goal on the beginning of this competition.

Either way, one team will finish with a much-needed victory, while the other will have to deal with the fact that their seasons are slowly coming to an end.

Detroit Lions vs. Seattle Seahawks

  • Location: Ford Field, Detroit, Michigan.

The Seahawks (3-0) and Lions (2-1) will face off in a battle between two of the NFC’s best teams to open the season. Seattle got off to a strong start under first-year head coach Mike Macdonald as it allowed the second-fewest yards per game (248.7) while also defending with the best passing defense in the NFL.

This will make it difficult for Jared Goff and company to consistently move the ball through the air against the Seahawks. As a result, the Lions will rely more on David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs to lead them in this contest. Detroit’s running game has been their strong suit during the Dan Campbell era, so this will be quite a test for Seattle’s defense.

Detroit has also had a strong stopping team this season, allowing just 17.7 points per game, ninth in the NFL. That could make this a defensive contest, as the Seahawks are fourth in the league in scoring at 14.3 points per game.
