Netgear announces new WiFi 7 products starting at $499

Netgear continues to roll out its Wi-Fi 7 networking product with the launch today of three new solutions for a great Wi-Fi experience in the home.

These three products bring new affordability to Wi-Fi 7, with the Nighthawk RS200 retailing for just $499.

“WiFi 7 represents a monumental leap forward in wireless technology, and its rollout has rapidly gained momentum as more Wi-Fi 7 devices enter the market, including the recently announced iPhone 16.” said David Henry, president and CEO of Connected Home Products and Services at NETGEAR.

“The latest NETGEAR Nighthawk RS600 and RS200 routers and Orbi 770 mesh system give more households access to the benefits of Wi-Fi 7 connectivity while providing robust network security to protect their homes and digital lives.”

WiFi 7 is the latest generation of Wi-Fi technology offering speeds 2.4 times faster than Wi-Fi 6, enabling networks to meet the growing demands of modern gadgets and technology.

The new offer is complemented by the new Wi-Fi 7 Mesh system – Orbi 770 Tri-Band, which provides a potential network speed of up to 11 Gb/s and the ability to connect up to 100 devices on an area of ​​540 square meters in a three-pack (router and two satellites).

The Orbi 770 combines the 5GHz and 6GHz bands for connected devices and backhaul, and the WAN/Internet port has a 2.5GB bandwidth, ready for next-gen NBN speeds that will be available soon.

This new Orbi system has a slim, cylindrical shape that is more rounded than the 970 series for a sleeker look, and can be placed on any desk or shelf in your home.

Inside there are four high-performance antennas with amplifiers providing 360-degree coverage.

The Orbi 770 also has a cool little pre-Wi-Fi feature that selectively blocks interference and provides a more stable connection.

In addition to Orbi, Nighthawk’s product offering includes two independent routers. RS600 and RS200 are built for speed, low latency and capacity, as well as a secure router backend.

They follow the design of the Nighthawk WiFi 7 RS700S Tri-Band Router with a tall housing and omnidirectional internal antennas.
