NTPC Green Energy signs MoU with Rajasthan for 25 GW renewable energy projects, ET EnergyWorld

New Delhi: NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, signed an MoU on September 30, 2024, with the Government of Rajasthan to implement 25 GW of renewable energy projects in the state.

The MoU was exchanged at the Rajasthan Emerging Investors Meet in New Delhi between KS Sundaram, Director (Projects), NGEL and Alok (IAS), ACS (Energy), in the presence of Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma.

The collaboration is expected to enhance Rajasthan’s role in India’s renewable energy sector, driving significant energy development in the region. The signing event was attended by senior officials from the government and NGEL.

NTPC Green Energy has also submitted draft documents to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for its Rs 10,000-crore initial public offering (IPO), which is expected to open in early November 2024. The IPO is intended to support plans NGEL expansion in the renewable energy market.
