Knoxville startup Safire wins $10,000. dollars during the Innov865 Startup Day

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – Two people who came to Knoxville took home a total of $15,000 in the Innov865 Alliance Startup Day 2024 competition. The annual “Shark Tank”-style competition showcases some of East Tennessee’s up-and-coming startups .

Safire won the Judges’ Choice Award of $10,000 and Loop won the Crowd Favorite cash prize of $5,000. Safire develops advanced lithium-ion battery security technologies, while Loop helps organizations extract data and share information reliably and efficiently.

Two additional prizes were also awarded during the event. Knox Bots won the $2,500 Emerging Entrepreneur Winner Award and the Traction Award winner was StoragePug.
