High-end phones found that led to delivery man's murder

LUCKNOW: Police on Tuesday recovered the mobile phones that led to the murder of service provider Bharat Kumar e-commerce company.
She also detained one of the accused, Akash Kumar Sharma Barabanki, who was currently staying in Indiranagar.
DCP East Shashank Singh said that the accused Akash and his friend Gajanand, who is the main accused in the case, placed an order for the phones and killed Kumar after he asked the accused to pay money for the phones.
Police sources said the accused used the car to dump the body 10 km from the crime scene.
The DCP said an official of the online shopping company filed a missing person’s report following which the police initiated an investigation.
“We gathered every detail, including the items that Bharat was supposed to deliver and the customers to whom it was supposed to deliver. During this process, we came to know that Bharat had to deliver two mobile phones to Gajanand, who had ordered the same using his neighbor’s ID card,” he said.
The DCP said that though Gajanand managed to escape, the teams managed to nab Akash, who confessed to the crime. “NDRF and SDRF teams are searching for the bag in which the body of the deceased was stuffed and thrown into the canal,” he said.
