According to KBOR, preliminary census day data was released on Wednesday, October 2 by the Kansas Board of Regents. Overall, the system experienced a 4.0% increase in employment as of the 20th Fall Census compared to the previous year.

“For the second year in a row, all sectors of the Kansas higher education system are experiencing growth,” said KBOR Chairman Carl Ice. “These increases demonstrate that our system is improving affordability and access to services for Kansas families. The Regents are grateful for the hard work of our system’s leaders and for our collaboration with the Governor and Legislature as we implement policies and practices that will help Kansas residents succeed in higher education.”

KBOR officials reported that enrollment at six state universities increased by 2,093 (2.3 percent).
