GREAT FALLS, MT – Edmund Davis, who was previously linked to the kidnapping of Alicia Navarro, pleaded guilty to one count of child sexual abuse in Montana.

Suspect pleads guilty to child sexual abuse in Hill County

Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen announced the complaint in a news release Monday.

Davis, 37, pleaded guilty to possessing child sexual abuse material on his electronic devices.

A content review determined that individuals depicted are under the age of 13, with two images of children under the age of 5, including images of infants and toddlers, and other computer-generated or animated content that sexualizes children.

The devices were discovered in July 2023, when Havre police served a search warrant at Davis’ apartment after learning that a young woman who was reported missing in Glendale, Arizona, as a 14-year-old in 2019 lived there.

When she opened the door, officers saw Davis in the kitchen behind her, throwing her cell phone into a trash can and placing items on top of it as if to hide it.

The phone and other electronic devices found during the search were transferred to the custody of the Criminal Information Technology Unit in Helena.

DCI agents subsequently obtained a separate search warrant for the electronic equipment and identified a series of child sexual abuse images and other evidentiary images.

The verdict is scheduled for December 16, 2024.

Prosecutors asked the court to sentence Davis to 100 years in Montana State Prison, with 50 of those suspended; and limiting parole to 25 years.
