Bank of America customers are reporting website and banking app crashes

(Gray News) – Bank of America is reportedly suffering from widespread outages that are impacting customers’ ability to access their accounts.

According to Downdetector, a consumer service outage reporting site, the problems began around 12 a.m. EST on Wednesday.

Several Downdetector commenters expressed difficulty logging into their accounts on the Bank of America website and banking app.

CNN reported that many customers complained that they couldn’t see their account balances. Some who had access to their accounts were surprised to see zero balances.

In a statement, Bank of America said: “Some customers are experiencing issues today accessing their accounts and balance information. These issues are currently being addressed and have largely been resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
