Bank of America customers report outage on website, banking app

(Gray News) – Bank of America is reportedly suffering from a widespread outage affecting customers’ ability to access their accounts.

According to Downdetector, a consumer outage reporting site, the issues started around 12 pm Eastern time on Wednesday.

Several commenters on Downdetector expressed difficulty logging into their accounts on Bank of America’s website and banking app.

CNN reported many customers complained they could not see their account balances. Some who could access their accounts were started to see zero balances.

In a statement, Bank of America said “Some clients are experiencing an issue accessing their accounts and balance information today. These issues are being addressed and have largely been resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
