The collaboration is intended to help advance both companies’ sustainability goals, particularly Google’s goal of 24/7 zero-emission energy, by providing cloud services and operations in India powered by clean energy, the statement said.

The hybrid solar-wind project is expected to begin commercial operations in the third quarter of 2025.

Adani Green Energy Ltd, the renewable arm of the Adani Group, commissioned 1 gigawatt (GW) in March 2024 of the total potential capacity of the Khavda plant of 30 GW.

Full capacity is expected to be achieved within the next five years, which would make it the world’s largest renewable energy project.

The group also mentioned that it plans to increase its focus on commercial, commercial and industrial (C&I) segments to help decarbonize industries.
