Perfect Planner LLC, a Cleveland-founded technology startup that has developed a cloud-based software platform to streamline material planning and inventory replenishment processes, has been honored with the 2024 Business Innovation Award at the Council of Supply Chain Professionals’ annual EDGE conference in Nashville. The distinction, which is part of the “3 V of Supply Chain Innovation Awards”, highlights Perfect Planner’s contribution to improving supply chain visibility, speed and variability management.

This award recognizes the innovative AI-powered technology behind Perfect Planner, which automatically generates daily “to-do lists” for planners and material buyers, prioritizing tasks based on their criticality. Using advanced analytics, the platform provides comprehensive visibility into inventory shortages and overages, enabling users to quickly respond to supply chain challenges, officials say.

Thomas Beil, founder and CEO of Perfect Planner, accepted the award, saying: “We are extremely proud to be recognized by CSCMP and the broader supply chain community. This award highlights our commitment to using cutting-edge technologies to solve real-world supply chain problems. Our team has worked tirelessly to develop a solution that will enable companies to streamline operations while remaining resilient to volatility.”

This recognition represents the third major recognition for Perfect Planner this year, following the Outstanding Industry Practitioner Award from the Institute of Industrial and Systems, Logistics and Supply Chain Engineers and the Best Practices Award from the IISE Operational Excellence Division.

The company’s success is driven by a diverse team of business professionals, including Lee University graduates Thomas Beil, Michaelia Black, Jordan Santley and Daniel Costa Prata. This diverse talent base has played a key role in creating a robust platform that addresses critical supply chain needs, officials say.
