Amid regulations, Justin Jin’s company Mediababy is expected to include youth sports content

Justin Jin and his team at Mediababy are preparing for an exciting turnaround as they focus on youth sports content amid ever-changing regulations in the digital landscape, particularly in Meta.

Known for its humorous content primarily aimed at teenagers, Mediababy attracts an impressive monthly audience of over 200 million, surpassing many traditional broadcasters. Staffed mostly by teenagers and young adults in their 20s, the company thrived by catering to the everyday consumption habits of its audience.

With Meta announcing new measures to limit the type of content available to young users – part of a wider initiative to give parents more control over their children’s online activities – Mediababy has realized how important it is to adapt its strategy to stop young audiences.

These changes, which began rolling out on September 17, limit the content teens can view and interact with, so it’s critical for Mediababy to focus on engaging, compliant content.

Mediababy’s involvement in sports content aims to leverage its existing audience of young sports fans who are always eager to follow their favorite teams and players.

The company plans to create snack-style content featuring NBA clips and memes related to major sporting events such as the Olympics. With a significant male audience, the company is well-positioned to serve sports enthusiasts.

The startup has already established cooperation with major sports leagues, including: signing significant advertising deals with organizations such as the American 7s Football League.

Mediababy is committed to creating a huge volume of content – over 200 pieces a day – to engage audiences and drive growth in the competitive sports media market.

As Jin optimistically states: “People are more mobile than ever. They will need mobile content.”
