Gmail’s Gemini-powered Q&A feature is available on iOS

A few months ago, Google introduced a new way to search Gmail using Gemini artificial intelligence. A feature called Questions and Answers in Gmail lets you find specific emails and information by asking questions to the Gemini chatbot. You might ask something like, “What time do we have dinner reservations on Saturday?” to quickly find the information you need. Initially, it was only available on Android devices, but now Google has started rolling it out on iPhones.

In addition to being able to ask questions, you can also use this feature to find unread emails from a specific sender by simply telling Gemini to “Find unread emails by (person’s name).” You can ask the chatbot to summarize a topic you know you might find in your inbox, such as professional projects you’ve been working on for months that consist of multiple conversations across several threads. You can even use Gemini in Gmail to search for general queries without having to leave your inbox. To access Gemini, simply tap the star icon in the top right corner of the Gmail app.

Google says it may take up to 15 days for the feature to reach your devices. However, remember that you must have access to Gemini Business, Enterprise, Education, Education Premium or Google One AI Premium to use it.
