REC is disbursing Rs 90,955 crore as loan during April-June

The state-run REC disbursed loans worth Rs 90,955 crore during April-September FY25, an increase of 20.10 per cent over the year-ago period.

Of the total amount, Rs 11,297 crore was accounted for by green loans, up 92.68% year-on-year, the company said in a statement.

In September FY25, REC said it had disbursed loans of Rs 47,303 crore, 13.71% more than Rs 41,598 crore disbursed a year earlier.

Of this, renewable energy loans stood at Rs 5,946 crore, up 37.35% year-on-year.

Renewable energy loans accounted for 13% of total disbursements in the July-September period of FY25 compared to 10% in the year-ago period.

REC, under the Ministry of Power, is a non-banking finance company focused on financing the energy sector in India.
