Addressing a public meeting as part of the ‘Janata Ki Adalat’ event, Kejriwal said, “My insulin supply has been stopped in jail. My kidneys could have failed and I could have died.”

Kejriwal spent over five months in Tihar Jail in connection with a liquor policy case and was released on bail on September 13 following a Supreme Court order.

“I will campaign for the BJP if…”: Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal has slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging the Prime Minister to provide free electricity to all NDA-ruled states ahead of the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. He even promised to campaign for the BJP if this demand is met.

“People say that Prime Minister Modi has done nothing in his 10 years in power. If he does something now, at least in the last year, people can say he has achieved something. There are elections in Delhi in February. I am asking him to produce free electricity in 22 states and I will campaign for him,” Kejriwal said at the ‘Janata Ki Adalat’ event at Chhatrasal Stadium in Delhi.

Kejriwal called the “dual engine” governance model “double loot and double corruption”.

He said the law and order situation in Delhi was deteriorating and compared it to underworld rule in Mumbai in the 1990s. “Bullets are being fired every day, crime is rising and the BJP is busy stopping the work of the Delhi government. We brought in bus managers to protect women, but they stopped it.”

The BJP strikes back

Reacting to Kejriwal’s remarks, BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj said, “While Kejriwal is sticking to his ‘Janata Ki Adalat’, the people of Delhi have already given their verdict by choosing the BJP in all the seven Lok Sabha seats in the city.” For ten years of AAP, the government has only engaged in propaganda and corruption.”
