According to Sky News, a Ukrainian plane fired British-French cruise missiles at Russian soldiers trying to approach a city in Ukraine.

A Ukrainian security source provided the broadcaster with drone footage that reportedly shows attacks on Russian troops approaching Pokrovsk in eastern Ukraine.

“The Ukrainian armed forces used Storm Shadow/Scalp missiles donated by Western countries,” the source said.

Ukraine, which has been fending off an invasion by its much larger neighbor Russia for nearly 1,000 days, has been teasing a plan to end the war in recent months.

The details have not been made public, but Zelensky presented them to US President Joe Biden, as well as both of the country’s main presidential candidates, during his visit to Washington last month.
