Both Kenny and Helen have supported the charity for several years, starting with Helen’s participation in the annual Rainbow Ramble. After an injury, the couple decided to raise money in another way.

In total, they raised more than £64,000 from pigeon auctions and races, “made possible by the generosity of pigeon owners across the UK”.

Two of their colleagues, Gary and Rob Tomlinson, also help support Rainbow Hub.

They gave the charity three free entries to the race, worth £450, where Rainbow reached the final.

Lyndsay Fahey, CEO of Rainbow Hub, said: “Kenny and Helen are fantastic supporters and their time and efforts are much appreciated. Over the years they have raised an incredible amount of money for us and continue to do so.

“We can’t thank them enough, Gary and Rob Tomlinson and the pigeons, especially Rainbow Lawrence. This means so much to us and to the children and their families we support.
