FHP investigating fatal crash in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in Jackson County.

According to troopers, a blue Suzuki was east of the driveway entrance to US 231 and approaching the southbound lanes of US 231.

A red Ford pickup truck was approaching the driveway in the southbound lane.

FHP said the Suzuki driver pulled out of the driveway and into the truck’s lane, failing to move to the right side of the road against oncoming traffic.

FHP said the vehicles then crashed into each other.

The passenger in the Suzuki died at the scene, FHP said.
