The first frost advisory for the York-Adams area of ​​the season was issued Monday by the National Weather Service.

The advisory, issued Monday afternoon by the National Weather Service in State College, covers most of Pennsylvania and applies from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

The department warned residents to take time this afternoon and evening to protect outdoor plants before frost begins.

Temperatures are expected to drop to the mid-30s overnight, according to Accuweather, with Hanover and York expected to reach a low of 37 degrees overnight.

Cooler temperatures are expected for the rest of the week, Accuweather forecast, with the lowest temperatures Thursday night when they will drop to a low of 35 in the York region.
