Shocking before and after images show tornado’s wrath in Asheville

Hurricane Helene reached the Big Bend region of Florida on Thursday, September 26, 2024. What followed became a historically devastating event that ravaged the southeast and Appalachia; Asheville, North Carolina and surrounding areas were directly affected by the tropical storm.

Torrential rains caused major flooding in the region and left behind piles of debris in the often busy Blue Ridge Mountains region.
